The battle with caterpillars and blight is definitely on, but some serious companion planting with basil, coriander, tansy and marigolds is so far holding off the need for nasty chemicals-knock on wood.

I took the first photo one day before the official start of summer and it shows the tomatoes ripening, and the photograph taken 5 days later shows how quickly they ripen in to an amazing, juicy red tomato.
