The worst of winter is over

How do I know the worst of winter is over? The chickens are laying more; this working week all three of them laid their daily egg on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, and the bulbs in the front garden are getting ready to flower. I can't wait to take photos of the tulips in bloom. The winter veggie patch needs a lot of attention.
