The Westin

Last night I attended an awards night at The Westin in Sydney. The service was friendly and attentive, the entree and main was highly enjoyable and I was in great company.

My entree was a beautiful tower of pumpkin, roasted capsicum and mushrooms which sat on top of the most delicious prosciutto and next to a small round of amazing cheese. My friend was kind enough to give me a taste of her salmon plate which was also delicious.

For mains there was a choice of chicken or beef, and whilst my other friend (who is also my superior in the office) was chatting away I may have done a sneaky swap, and ended up enjoying an AMAZING grilled junee beef tenderloin with roasted field mushrooms and potatoes with truffle jus-WOW.

Unfortunately there was only one dessert on offer, and it doesn't deserve a mention, I took one bite and decided it wasn't worth it. The chocolate basket that was placed on our table made up for it though.

The Westin impressed me with their ability to let good produce shine, and deliver such a high standard of catering at a large function. I'll go back.
