You can take the girl out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the girl

Honest Mum, I'm not too big, I just have to pull this leg and tail in.

Yesterday Mark and I returned home from our road trip to two very excited puppies who we missed very much.  Our road trip consisted of one night in Wentworth Falls, two nights in Mudgee, one night in Dubbo and two nights in Orange.

The fresh air, expansive open space and slower pace were exactly what I needed. I thoroughly enjoyed every town we visited, but I didn't want to leave Orange (see post here). The food and wine culture there has embraced the 100 mile diet which involves only consuming food from the local area, and there are many gourmet options available.

On our holiday I cuddled a baby goat which I was ready to kidnap and bring back home with me, saw an amazing automated chicken coop set up at the Mudgee Homestead where we stayed, and just loved the great open space and fresh air. It is so good for the soul, I can't wait for the next dose of country air.
