It's a new year

It's a new dawn, it's a new day, and I'm feeling good!

I'm happy, healthy and gearing up to run 5.5km on Saturday morning. Anyone that wants to sponsor me and raise money for MS research should visit this site http://www.everydayhero.com.au/anak. If you are wondering why I chose to support MS research it is because my Mum has it.

I'm also looking forward to starting my new job tomorrow morning, and meeting a lot of new people. Naturally I'm nervous, but I'm looking forward to it.

Jet isn't looking forward to what ever is happening tomorrow so much. He has a hunch that something will be different, but he isn't quite sure what, and as a result he has been a very cuddly boy today, not just with his Mum, but with close family and friends that were over today. He has been snuggled up to Mark on the lounge for most of the night. Baxter on the other hand hasn't worked out that holidays are over, but I'll put money on it that he will do his little whining thing when he realises that Mark and I are getting ready for work.

Fingers crossed Holly doesn't break out of the chicken run again tomorrow and ruin my garden AGAIN. She escaped yesterday, and again this morning, so I've made some very quick amends and hope they will do the job. On a more positive note, whilst Bernie is still acting broodie we are back to getting three eggs a day. On a different note, Fry is very good at letting me know when Holly has escaped, so fingers crossed Holly stays where she is meant to tomorrow, and if she does misbehave lets hope Fry has the sense to know I'm not home to come and sort things out.

I'm planning on running to and from the local newsagent early tomorrow morning to pick up my prepaid bus tickets. It is meant to be 1.6km there, so the total return trip should be a good training 3km run...shame I don't have a good running playlist.
